Return and Refund Policy
Thank you for purchasing Soul’s Codex (“the Product”). This Return and Refund Policy describes your rights and obligations regarding returns and refunds of Soul’s Codex, whether in digital (eBook) or physical format.
1. No Standard Right of Withdrawal for Personalized Products
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and corresponding national implementations, consumers generally have the right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 days after receipt of goods or after entering into a service contract. However, this right does not apply to products that are clearly personalized or made to the consumer’s specifications and digital content once delivered, if the performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgment that they lose the right of withdrawal upon delivery.
Soul’s Codex is a fully personalized product created specifically for each customer based on the personal data they submit (name, birth date, birth time, place, etc.). Because this product is tailored uniquely to the individual, it falls under the legal exception to the EU 14-day withdrawal right for customized and non-resellable content.
2. Digital eBook Delivery and Personalized Content
By completing your order and providing the required personal information for the creation of your Soul’s Codex, you expressly consent to the commencement of the fulfillment of your customized digital content and acknowledge that once delivered and accessed, you do not have the right to cancel or refund the order for the digital eBook version.
3. Physical Personalized Book
If you purchase a physical printed copy of Soul’s Codex, it is produced specifically for you after your order is placed. Because this is a made-to-order personalized item, the standard EU right of withdrawal does not apply, and returns, exchanges, or refunds are not permitted once production has begun or the item has shipped.
4. Defective or Non-Conforming Items
Your statutory rights under EU and national consumer laws related to defective goods or non-conformity remain unaffected. If the Product is defective, materially damaged during delivery, or not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy (repair or replacement) according to applicable consumer law.
